Hong Kong Lottery Smugglers Catched Transporting Smugglers 6,000 Smartphones and Tablets

The hongkong lottery is one of the world’s most popular lotteries. It features a progressive jackpot that increases as more and more people play it. The game is operated by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and uses a traditional ball draw machine with 49 numbers.

The main prize is a guaranteed minimum of 8 million Hong Kong dollars (about USD$12,700,000.) There are six other prizes in addition to the jackpot. They include a first prize of 2 million HK dollars, which is doubled to 4 million if there’s a second prize winner, and a third prize of 1 million HK dollars.

There’s also a HK$100 million jackpot that can be won if there are multiple winners for the eighter prize. This is the second largest jackpot in the world.

During a recent check, Hong Kong customs found nearly 600 winning Mark Six lottery tickets. Each ticket had a value of about HK$10,000, excluding the Hong Kong taxes.

In addition, smugglers were caught transporting around 6,000 smartphones and tablets. The value of these items was about HK$1.3 billion, not including Chinese import and export taxes.

The smuggling business is becoming big, and Hong Kong customs are cracking down on it. This is the third time since June that they have arrested a group of people for transporting illegal goods across inland rivers.
